San Diego, CAPosted Jul 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

After a quick phone screen where we talked through the role’s duties and I walked through my resume, the process moved to my hiring manager.

I was able to cover my background directly with them, and it felt like the next step was pretty standard.

From there, the bigger structure showed up: there was a research presentation, then multiple 1:1 meetings on the same general track. I remember the scheduling being a real factor—once you’re dealing with several sessions across people, it’s hard to find clean blocks if you’re still working full-time.

The questions ended up blending both technical and behavioral topics. The overall vibe was more pleasant than stressful, but it was still a lot of moving parts and time on calls.
