I interviewed for a Software Engineer role with a manager-led, technical-heavy evaluation, and it felt more challenging than a simple HR screen.

Phone interview with multiple interviewers — I spoke on the phone with managers/team leads; the discussion was mostly behavioral with some questions tied to my resume, plus a few technical questions.
Purely technical round with many interviewers — In another similar path, the interview began with one lead in front while several managers joined remotely; the questions were divided into multiple areas and progressed from easier to difficult. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; the takeaway is that they could run a very technical, interviewer-rotations style assessment.
