I had an easy, go-with-the-flow in-person interview with the district manager.

After that, they sent me a link so I could complete my own background check. I waited about two weeks, and it came back clear, but I never received an offer.

What stood out to me was how the process didn’t line up with the reassurance of a clean check—getting it done didn’t automatically mean they were still moving forward. The tone felt casual, but the end result left me questioning how much the interview actually mattered versus whatever decision they’d already been leaning toward.
