Hot Topic Operations Manager interview experience

We talked in a relaxed way about what kind of music and media I liked, and the conversation stayed pretty light and “fluffy.”

Then they shifted into practical people-management questions—how I’d handle conflicts between employees and what I’d do to keep the team on track. It didn’t feel like a high-stakes grilling, just a straightforward check that I understood how to manage day-to-day issues. Overall it matched the easy label: nothing felt especially technical, and it mainly came down to how comfortably I could talk through normal workplace situations.
