I walked in just to put in an application, and after a brief conversation with the store manager, the vibes were really good.

They had me complete the application online, then called me about two days later to set up an interview. A week after that, I met with the district manager.

The hardest part wasn’t the interviews—it was the background check, which was slower than I expected. I was upfront about my record, and I honestly thought that might end it, but I still got the job. The process moved fast enough that it took roughly three and a half weeks end to end, and there wasn’t a drug test involved.
