Hot Topic Operations Manager interview experience

No offer

MediumUnited StatesPosted Jul 2014 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went into the interview feeling like I’d been thrown into something rushed and oddly predetermined.

It wasn’t like any interview I’d done before—it felt fast, like the conversation didn’t really matter.

I remember walking away with the impression that they already knew who they wanted, and nothing I said changed that. Even though the difficulty was rated average, the overall experience felt flat and dismissive because I never felt like my responses were influencing the process.

In the end I didn’t get an offer, and my main takeaway was that the interview felt more like a formality than a real evaluation of me.
