One part of the process immediately felt awkward: the interviewer asked me to come up with questions for her.

I had a few things prepared, but it didn’t feel like enough to keep the interview moving smoothly once I ran out.

After I couldn’t think of more to ask, the conversation just stalled into uncomfortable silence. That moment lingered more than the content of any specific question, because it shifted the dynamic from interview back to awkward waiting.

I didn’t get an offer. Honestly, even if the rest of the process was normal, that strange Q&A structure made the interview feel uncomfortable rather than evaluative.
