I went through a streamlined flow with GitHub coding followed by calls to review my work and assess fit, and I didn’t receive an offer.

GitHub coding test (Ruby) — I completed a coding exercise on GitHub.
Phone interview to review my code — We reviewed what I built and why.
Phone interview (policy/procedure + team fit) — I discussed processes and whether I’d be a good match culturally.
Outcome: I didn’t get an offer; the takeaway is that GitHub’s process can be interview-light but still centers on explaining your decisions.
