CalcuttaPosted Nov 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had a fairly typical but multi-round technical-and-culture process at GitHub, culminating in deeper coding discussions and an interview day with multiple sessions.

Recruiter / early conversations — I had initial steps to align on my experience and what to expect.
OA / LeetCode-style medium — One round included a medium coding problem with a timed component.
Talent partner call — A discussion of my background and how it fit the role.
Interview day: 3 interviews — Two technical sessions (including coding/design and an API design problem) plus one behavioral/culture round. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer; the takeaway was that preparation for projects and common technical themes helped.
