My GitHub journey was inconsistent: I began with a hiring-manager step and a take-home stage, but I ultimately fell out of the process due to poor communication and lack of clarity.

Call with hiring manager + take-home assignment — I had a call with the hiring manager and then received a take-home task; I’m not sure what came after because I didn’t complete the rest of the loop.
Automated assessment invitation (no real human backchannel) — I also had an automated email that I’d been accepted for an assessment, but there was no person to ask questions about fit, process, or benefits before committing.
Outcome: I didn’t move forward to later rounds; the takeaway was that without a clear human point of contact, the process felt hard to trust and plan
