Johnston, RIPosted May 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

Early on, the process started with only one or two interviews, but later it expanded into multiple interviews with multiple interviewers in the room.

I liked the atmosphere and the people in the department; the environment felt more collegial than hostile.

What I didn’t appreciate was the attitude of a couple of interviewing managers, which came across as cocky. That tone made the process feel less professional than it could have.

I was turned down at the end, and my overall impression was shaped more by how some interviewers carried themselves than by my actual technical fit.
