I had a frustrating set of early-stage experiences where assessments and scheduling felt unreliable, and interviews didn’t consistently reach live evaluation.

Automated take-home assessment (no prior recruiter conversation) — I received a take-home immediately after applying, without first speaking with a person; it felt disrespectful and I declined.
Online assessment sent after a few weeks — Another attempt involved an assessment focused largely on ML/deep learning concepts and an unexpected software-engineering-style question.
Scheduled screening call / interviewer no-show — I booked a screening but the interviewer didn’t show up.
Interview cancelled close to start — In another attempt, my scheduled interview was cancelled
