I interviewed for a Data Scientist role in a high-tempo loop where one pass/fail decision could end the process, and the hardest part was combining ML depth with coding on the fly.

OA (Hackerrank) — followed by coding evaluation; expectations were set to clear the OA to move on.
Hiring-manager / behavioral screen — background and motivation, with resume walkthrough; in one case it included an explicit “halt if you fail” framing.
Back-to-back technical rounds — multiple consecutive interviews, typically including a case/problem-solving component, a machine-learning interview (often touching reinforcement learning/RAG/LLMs in at least one loop), and a final coding round.
Coding & ML difficulty — one version included a single medium coding screen
