Bain & Consultant interview experience

The cases came first, followed by some behavioral questions.

The cases felt very straightforward, and what surprised me was how much the interviewer guided the discussion. It wasn’t hands-off; instead, the structure and prompts helped shape how I thought about the problem, so it felt more like an interactive case than a totally open-ended test.

I didn’t get the role. Even with the cases being described as straightforward and the guidance being there, I still missed something in the overall evaluation, and that made me realize that “guided” didn’t mean “automatic.”
