I had a case interview that felt distinctly fast-paced and a little unexpected.

The case style was interview-led, and the questions kept shifting in a way that forced me to keep up in real time. What threw me off most was the constraint that I couldn’t ask for extra thinking time. There was no easy pause to organize my thoughts, so I had to make decisions on the spot.

Even with that pressure, I tried to keep my structure while reacting to whatever came next. The setting was still the classic management consulting vibe—things like market sizing and business logic—so there was a clear expectation that I’d be comfortable with framework-driven reasoning and then back it up
