I started with a cold call from a hiring manager who asked questions about my schooling and life experience, and it turned into a genuinely nice conversation.

A couple weeks later, I came back for a second call that was more structured: the same hiring manager joined, along with three or four senior engineers.

That panel focused on basic programming logic without Leetcode, plus object-oriented programming basics and questions tied to my own programming experience. What made it stand out was that I had to make and present a PowerPoint about my background—where I was from, how I got to where I am, and a project I had done in class, including which technologies I used. It felt like a balance of storytelling and straightforward technical discussion.
