My first phone screen felt like a red flag from the start.

The interviewer spent far more time asking why I left previous jobs than on evaluating my qualifications. I also couldn’t even get a clear sense of the salary range at the end of the conversation, which was especially frustrating because it wasn’t addressed until after the interview.

It left me feeling like the process wasn’t set up to be transparent about compensation. I decided to stop there because interviewing without knowing the salary range up front didn’t make sense to me.
