My process ended up being two rounds.

Both of them tested two things: SQL and my ability to think through a product problem—like identifying or designing a product to address a specific issue.

What also lingered in my preparation mindset was that I needed to be familiar with American Express itself. I expected questions about how Amex could increase business, including collaboration with apps, so I made sure I had a sense of relevant products and partnerships. Overall, it felt easy enough compared with more intense formats, but it still required a mix of data thinking and product creativity.
