What is a UX/UI Designer at Plangrid?
As a UX/UI Designer at Plangrid (an Autodesk company), you will design the digital tools that power the physical world. Plangrid is a foundational piece of the Autodesk Construction Cloud, used by millions of construction professionals, field engineers, and project managers globally. The interfaces you design must perform flawlessly in high-stress, fast-paced, and rugged construction environments, where access to real-time blueprints, RFIs, and punch lists can make or break multi-million dollar projects.
This role requires a unique balance of deep user empathy and technical precision. You will translate complex, offline construction workflows into highly intuitive, offline-first mobile and web experiences. Your work directly impacts how field workers collaborate with office-based stakeholders, demanding a design philosophy that prioritizes speed, clarity, and utility over unnecessary aesthetic ornamentation.
Joining this team means tackling massive scale and complex information architecture. You will not just be designing screens; you will be building the systems and workflows that modernize one of the world's largest and oldest industries. This makes the position both highly challenging and immensely rewarding for designers who thrive on solving real-world, tangible problems.
