BC Hydro evaluates you across both data delivery and how you communicate. The interview topics you are tested on heavily weight Enterprise Data Warehouse, end-to-end data solutions, lakehouse architectures, and business intelligence, plus professional writing, including business summary writing as a separate prominent topic.
You will be assessed on requirements work and translating it into data solutions. The topic list shows repeated focus on business requirements gathering, data requirements elicitation, functional requirements, and how you think about data solutions end-to-end from requirements through support.
Expect a process that mixes screening conversations with more structured evaluation and a practical demonstration of data synthesis and presentation. The reported steps include behavioral interview, conversational screening, technical assessment, formal interview, and practical components that can include a take-home case study or an on-site presentation, plus time-constrained writing such as a business summary or email.
