I ran into Xero’s early-career online assessment format where the coding portion was relatively small.

The HackerRank section had only two coding questions, and the rest was multiple-choice focused on SQL/databases and general software practices. It was proctored, meaning I couldn’t just browse or switch tabs while answering, and that proctoring constraint made the process feel more high-stakes than the question count suggests.
