Xero Software Engineer interview experience

Next came a video call interview with engineers, then another video call with the team lead, and finally I moved through the last steps with the team. The whole process took about two weeks, which surprised me because I expected it to drag.

The take-home was a real checkpoint before the live conversations, and the engineer and team lead calls focused on how I’d think through the work and communicate around it. I felt reasonably prepared for the live rounds since the earlier materials had already clarified what they wanted to see.
