I was contacted by HR and scheduled an in-person interview with a manager of engineering.

During the meeting, the questions focused on my professional experience in developing projects.

It felt like a straightforward conversation about my background and what I’d done before, without lots of extra layers mentioned. I didn’t move beyond that stage and didn’t receive an offer.

My reflection was that, while the process was direct, I didn’t get a lot of insight into how far along I was supposed to be on the role’s specific needs beyond my experience.
