Workday Software Engineer interview experience

The hiring manager didn’t feel my experience aligned with the role, and my background was in information technology and system administration.

That was the entire experience I got to—no longer sequence of rounds described beyond that point. It landed as average difficulty, but it felt abrupt because the decision happened quickly after the initial recruiter touch.

I didn’t get an offer. My reflection was that the process seemed less about fit-through-discussion and more about whether my prior work mapped cleanly to what they wanted.
