After a recruiter-style touchpoint, I had an interview with the hiring manager where the conversation went very well and I received strong “hire” style feedback.

A short time later I moved into a UML system design round. The interviewer’s feedback was also positive, so I felt like I was tracking in the right direction.

But within two days I received a rejection email. I never got a clear reason for it, and it didn’t line up with the signals I was getting during the rounds. The whole experience left me feeling like the probability of moving forward can be incredibly low even when the actual interviews go well, which made the evaluation process feel especially unfair.
