My hiring manager interview felt unprepared and low-energy.

The interviewer seemed like he hadn’t prepared the questions beforehand and had to think for a while to come up with what to ask. He was also late by a few minutes, and during that stretch I wasn’t even sure I was in the right Zoom room. He kept yawning and looked tired, and the whole vibe suggested he wanted to get through it quickly.

The questions were very generic, and they didn’t really connect to my background in a meaningful way. It wasn’t just that it was harder to answer—it was that the tone made the interview feel like it wasn’t genuinely about me.
