Workday Software Engineer interview experience

The first part focused on UML, where the interviewer spent about the first 45 minutes on the problem statement.

After that, I answered follow-up questions on OOP principles like cardinality, inheritance, redundancy, joiner class, and object-oriented design. The final segment was a brief live demo on Xpresso that lasted about 15 minutes.

The overall difficulty was average, and the format felt like a mix of design reasoning and then showing something practical at the end. I didn’t receive an offer, but I felt the interview was at least concrete in what it asked me to think through and model.
