Workday Software Engineer interview experience

In the technical portion, though, I noticed they were grading not just the end result but also how I handled getting stuck.

The impression I got was that if I asked for help and got unstuck, I’d be more likely to land on their good side, even if I couldn’t solve everything immediately on my own. That felt a little unfair to me because it didn’t purely reward fluency; it rewarded how I interacted with support while coding.

I didn’t receive an offer. Still, I appreciated the overall clarity of the process, even if the way they evaluated my performance left me uneasy.
