I interviewed for Software Engineer during a remote period, and the difficulty leaned toward intermediate because the later stage mixed design thinking with implementation constraints.

Live coding on CodeSignal — I did LeetCode-style easy/medium problems in a live CodeSignal format.
Virtual onsite: system design/scaling/refactoring — I moved to an online onsite covering system design, scaling, and refactoring.
Hands-on Python endpoints — I implemented endpoints in Python following the readme, sharing my screen as I coded; I felt time was tight and the starter code/testing didn’t follow strong conventions. Outcome: I didn’t get the offer, mainly because I couldn’t fully complete the coding work under the constraints.
