I interviewed for a Software Engineer role where the overall difficulty was difficult, and the process advice emphasized preparation and research.

Screening → tech → hiring manager — the specific round order varied, but the pattern was screening, then technical, then a hiring-manager discussion tailored to the position.
Preparation focus — I was advised to do deep research on the business and the tech stack and come ready with homework. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; my takeaway is that lack of targeted prep is punished in the technical and hiring-manager stages.
