I got reached out to by someone who said they were interested in my career so far and wanted to discuss it in more detail.

I reached out to schedule a time, and then they declined and let me know I wasn’t a fit for the role.

The whole thing felt wonky because it didn’t move like a normal interview path. It started as an invitation to talk, but it ended quickly after scheduling attempts.

I didn’t receive an offer. The main feeling I had afterward was confusion—like there wasn’t enough consistency between the initial interest and the final decision.
