I went through an organized and transparent Research Analyst interview process, yet I ended up not being hired despite positive feedback.

Structured interview rounds — the overall process felt clear and set reasonable expectations.
Hiring-manager feedback during interviews — I was told by two hiring managers that I performed very well.
Final decision — despite that, the company selected another candidate. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; the takeaway was that even when interviews seem to go well, final selection can still be unpredictable.
