My process was quick and online, with three staff scientists.

There weren’t any technical questions asked of me; instead, they spent time introducing the lab and explaining what my responsibilities could look like if I were hired.

The actual interview portion happened after those explanations, and the whole interaction took under 30 minutes. It felt less like a test of technical skills and more like an orientation and role-fit conversation.

Honestly, it was refreshing to have the focus on the lab and the job context rather than grilling me on specific concepts.
