I went through a fairly long, multi-touch sequence.

It ended up being a 7–8 step process with multiple discussions that ran the gamut from recruiter to leadership up through VP level, and it culminated in a final presentation. Looking back, the process felt like an average fit for the role, but it definitely wasn’t quick.

From my first recruiter discussion to the end took about three months, which made it feel like they were thorough and also moving at their own pace. The final presentation was the last piece of a long chain, and by then it felt less like a single interview and more like a sustained evaluation.
