I did a full-day interview that included people from several different departments.

The group covered business development, superintendent work, SPD, and HR, and the day included lunch. A superintendent even took us out to a local job site so I could learn from what the workers were doing in the field at that moment, along with how responsibilities played out on the ground.

It felt comprehensive without being overly technical—more like they were trying to show how different parts of the organization connect to the work. Everyone I met was part of the same general theme: understanding operations and how the role fits into the broader construction lifecycle.
