Before I ever got to a recorded coding interview, I had to complete mini tests.

Everything was timed, and they were a mix of quiz-style questions and short coding items. The topics depended on what language or framework I was most comfortable with, so I saw variations that were centered around Python, SQL, and even MATLAB.

Once those timed mini tests were done, I moved into the recorded coding interview stage. The whole setup felt like it was measuring both speed and fundamentals, and because the process emphasized quick, test-style evaluation rather than a deeper conversation, it felt fairly challenging. I didn’t end up with an offer.
