Turing Software Engineer interview experience

After I submitted written code, I had to walk through the execution logic, then show how I’d improve it by revisiting two separate written code pieces and describing better approaches.

It felt like an assessment of whether I understood what the code was actually doing—not just whether I could produce something that passed. The round was marked as average difficulty, but the need to reason through and refine the code made it more mentally demanding than a straightforward coding prompt.
