Turing Software Engineer interview experience

The whole conversation felt straightforward, but the main takeaway was very clear: I needed to speak with more confidence. The recruiter framed it as something that mattered for moving forward, basically implying that if my English was decent, I’d have a better shot at reaching the technical interview stage.

Overall the experience didn’t feel especially technical or difficult—more like a gatekeeping conversation focused on communication. I didn’t receive an offer, and what stuck with me was how much the process emphasized confidence and English fluency relative to everything else.
