I went into a coding test that ended up being tough, but it was also an amazing learning experience.

It was my first ever coding test, and I hadn’t really known what to expect in terms of format or difficulty.

The questions were described as medium to difficult, and that rang true while I worked through them. The pressure came from not having any prior experience with this kind of assessment, even though the questions were still within the realm of solvable problems.

I didn’t end up with an offer. Still, the process made it clear what the bar looked like, and it pushed me to take coding tests seriously moving forward.
