After a recruiter call, I ended up with a technical interview that felt more like standard DSA than the object-oriented focus I’d been led to expect.

The process itself was described as straightforward, and the interviewers were professional, but the communication around what would actually be evaluated didn’t line up with how it was presented to me.

The technical round started with me introducing myself and then moved into a LeetCode-style problem-solving segment. Even though the topic framing mentioned OOP, the work I did leaned heavily into classic algorithmic problem solving. Overall it didn’t feel unfair, just a bit unclear on expectations, and the end-to-end process ended up taking longer than I’d assumed it would.
