United StatesPosted Jul 2018 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I joined a Zoom interview after receiving a link, but the session room was empty.

I tried to troubleshoot immediately—calling and emailing the interviewer and the recruiter, and then messaging on LinkedIn when I still couldn’t reach anyone.

Eventually I got a message that there would be no interview for me. It was a jarring experience because it didn’t feel like there was a real misunderstanding I could fix; it was just that the planned interview didn’t happen.

I didn’t get an offer. What stayed with me was how much time I spent trying to connect while the scheduling failure was never clearly handled in real time.
