After a recruiter reach-out and a positive interview, I was given an easier home assignment that didn’t feel intimidating once I started it.

The interviews I did were welcoming, and the interviewer came across as transparent about the company and the day-to-day work rather than speaking in vague buzzwords.

The coding portion went smoothly enough that I felt the momentum was on my side. Then, unexpectedly, the process was terminated without any explanation after I completed the home work.

I didn’t receive an offer. The weirdest part was that the first half felt honest and clear, but the conclusion was abrupt and left me without the basic closure you’d expect after doing an assignment.
