I started with conversations involving HR that helped me understand the role and the culture.

The next technical interview included a manager discussion that leaned into team dynamics and technology, but it didn’t feel as directly focused on evaluating my day-to-day engineering skills as I expected.

What really defined the experience for me was what happened at the end. I reached a point where there was supposed to be a final stage involving pair programming, and even with prior communication around next steps, I was ghosted before that round. There was no follow-up or message clarifying what was going on.

I didn’t get an offer, and honestly the silence overshadowed everything else.
