TCS Software Engineer interview experience

DehradunPosted Jul 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview experience felt extremely light and mostly centered on very basic aptitude-style questions.

I remember being asked things like prime numbers and Armstrong numbers, and the interviewer didn’t really push deeper than the surface.

It was easy to get through because there wasn’t much follow-up or depth, but what stood out to me was the NQT exam aspect. The aptitude part was manageable, yet the compiler during the test wasn’t working properly, which made the experience frustrating despite how simple the interview questions ended up being. I didn’t receive an offer.
