I was first contacted by HR through LinkedIn, and then I went through a phone sequence: an initial HR call with basic discussion, followed by another phone round with the hiring manager and a peer phone interview.

After that, I flew to Baltimore for a group-style meeting with team managers from several different departments.

The whole process felt long but organized—about three to four months went by before I received an initial written offer. Even though I didn’t ultimately get an offer, the pace and the number of touchpoints suggested a thorough evaluation and a deliberate effort to understand how I would fit with multiple parts of the organization.
