The process for this role involved multiple interviews where I went through the investment process and stock pitches.

One interviewer asked about the company as a business, wanting my view on the key drivers and how to think about valuation.

Another interviewer wanted to hear what key questions I’d ask when meeting a new management team—so it wasn’t just about repeating facts, it was about showing how I’d evaluate leadership and decision-making.

It was clearly more demanding and topic-specific than a basic interview, and I didn’t get an offer. My lasting takeaway was that they expected real investment thinking and a structured approach, not just general familiarity.
