Midland, MIPosted Aug 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I was scheduled through a third party involved in their hiring process, but when I arrived, the interviewer apparently wasn’t expecting me.

That immediately changed the flow of the day.

Instead of a real back-and-forth conversation about my background, I didn’t get much chance to talk about myself or my experience. The interview mostly turned into the interviewer describing themselves and the agency, and I don’t think there were any questions directed at me.

It ended up feeling like an extremely poor fit for what an interview is supposed to accomplish. I didn’t receive an offer, and the biggest reflection I had was how little was actually evaluated because the structure never really happened.
