My first step was just a quick phone screening with a handful of basic questions about my preferences and skill sets.

It was clearly meant to filter out people who weren’t compatible with the role, and the whole call felt brief and to the point.

After that, the deeper evaluation came through a shorter conversation focused on sales-related experience and background, mostly in a general way. The questions were pretty normal—about prior jobs and any sales experience. There wasn’t much technical complexity involved, but the content was very tied to the realities of sales.

Even though the calls were easy overall, the role itself felt like it came with tradeoffs I noticed, like the pay being lower in my opinion.
