My first step was a short recruiter screen that was scheduled for 15 minutes, but the recruiter called about 20 minutes late.

When we finally connected, the questions were basic—why Splunk and why sales—and I remember thinking it wasn’t clear what they were gaining from the call since I wasn’t given meaningful context for what would come next.

A week later I received a no-reply rejection email with zero additional feedback. The overall feel was that it wasn’t very professional or respectful of the time invested, and it left me unimpressed compared to other processes I was dealing with around the same period.

No offer came through, and the reflection I carried was simply that the experience lacked transparency.
