My process started with a Wonderlic-style personality/cognitive test and, unusually, they required me to send a university transcript and record myself taking the test on camera.

It was a lot of effort before I’d ever spoken to a person.

About a month later, they reached out to schedule a call with HR. The conversation was mostly standard—questions about my experience and some soft-skills style topics. Only after that call did they tell me my profile would be shared with the hiring manager. Then, shortly after, I was rejected.

Honestly, the whole thing felt like a huge waste of time, mostly because I’d spent time on the tests before any human review. I came away with the feeling that the process didn’t respect candidate time, especially given how quickly it ended
